JONATHON LANGDON
RADIO & TV LIVE BROADCASTER
About Jonathon
Jonathon Langdon is a young, but accomplished broadcaster based in Ashland, Ohio. He is a senior at Mount Vernon Nazarene University preparing to receive his BA in Communication & Digital Media in May of 2024.

A 2020 Ashland High School graduate, Jonathon went through a unique path to broadcasting. Uncertain what to do after high school, he took journalism and video production elective classes during his junior year in high school. It was through his teachers, peers, and even his older brother that he would grow to love writing and producing content. Sensing God's call to go "all-in" on journalism, Jonathon decided to quit the basketball team his senior year to take on a bigger role with the production department.
Jonathon arrived at Mount Vernon Nazarene University in the heat of the COVID-19 pandemic, getting thrown into the fire right away with WNZR, MVNU's community radio station. Jonathon gained experience on-air just weeks after his first day of classes in both radio and television realms of broadcasting.
Overall, Jonathon boasts four years of experience as a play-by-play sportscaster for all MVNU athletics, three years in Christian radio show hosting, and two years of experience directing broadcasts for the OH Report, a local high school sports media outlet based in Mansfield, Ohio.

Jonathon also gained experience through an internship with the Columbus Clippers baseball team where he learned the inner workings of a sports broadcast. This internship sharpened his skills operating professional cameras, keeping stats for the jumbotron, and even directing games after gaining the trust of the control room.

After college, Jonathon plans to return for his third season with the Columbus Clippers as he searches for a full-time job in either Christian radio or sports broadcasting.
